WhatsApp 2022 update: WhatsApp has launched the ability to conceal your "last seen" status from particular contacts and the option of leaving a group without informing other users.
In December of last year WhatsApp started to hide users online status from strangers by default. Although this was a significant positive step but it doesn't allow all of your contacts to know if you're online. The upcoming update to WhatsApp is expected to address this issue, however it will allow you to select the contacts who will see your status. If you don't want someone else to think that you're not listening to the message they sent, switch on the option for the user so they'll (hopefully) never be aware of the difference.
WhatsApp has also launched a helpful feature that lets users leave groups in silence. The app currently (very inexplicably) notifies everyone within the group that you have left that could lead people in the group to message your private message to inquire what you did to leave. This new feature is the digital version of an Irish Goodbye (The practice of leaving a gathering without notifying anyone else). It will surely help to eliminate the awkwardness in result of leaving the chat.
Mark Zuckerberg announced these new WhatsApp Features on Facebook. He further told about development of a method to stop users from taking screenshots in "view once" messages. Contrary to the messages that disappear, "views once" messages do not disappear after a certain time period and disappear once the receiver has been able to see it for the first time. It's just like a photograph or video that's sent via Snapchat. A way to prevent screenshots from being displayed could keep users from sharing or saving private information with other people. The feature is still being tested and isn't available yet, however WhatsApp promises to roll the feature out for its users "soon."
WhatsApp has introduced a variety of tiny but important updates this year. Alongside making emoji responses available and offering a way to improve the speed of voice messages The platform has also began letting users of Android to transfer their chat history to an iPhone.
